LM393 IC consists of two independent voltage comparators that are designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. The IC has a distinct advantage over conventional comparators in terms of operating efficiency. The output of the IC always comes in TTL which makes it easy to work with other TTL devices and microcontrollers.
